VOTE IF YOU FEEL LIKE IT. IT'S NONE OF MY BUSINESS

Every year, right before Election Day people feel as though it's okay to tell you what to do. I've lost count of how many people today have said to me, "Make sure you vote."

I would never say that to anybody. I have no right to tell you that you should vote. If you're registered, it's your right and if you're registered, you're probably planning to vote and don't need me to remind you.

I would advise (but not demand) that everyone who does vote tomorrow should cast their ballots based on their knowledge of the candidates and the issues. I find it offensive when celebrities tell me not only that I must vote, but also which party I should for. I would never vote for someone based on the advice of some singer or actor.

:) Agreed! If people do not wish to vote, that's their business, and they are likely uninformed anyway.

Why should we encourage uninformed people to enter the decision-making process?

Moreover, my vote has more impact when others do not vote. My ideal situation? Everyone else chooses not to vote, and I get to decide everything! LOL
