IS NJ GOV. CHRISTIE THE GOP'S ROCK STAR?

When New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was told today by a reporter that many national pundits are calling him the Republican Party's 'Rock Star,' he responded, "How sad."

Christie is not typically known for self-deprecation, but he showed a little bit of that today. He said, "Everything in political life is temporary, everything. When you're having a good day, don't get too excited and when you're having a bad day, don't get too depressed."

The Governor said having ideas and implementing them is what really matters. He added, "When I was U.S. Attorney for seven years all we ever heard about in New Jersey was corruption and 'The Sopranos.' From around the country that's all you ever heard about or, 'What exit are you from?'"

Christie says now we're starting to hear good things about New Jersey and, "Believe me, it is not based upon my charm and good looks."
