In a freewheeling Q&A today, Christie took questions from reporters on a wide range of topics including, public employee pension reforms, medical marijuana, the horse racing industry, sports betting and the fact that many of his appointments to key State agencies and authorities have not even been considered yet by the State Senate.
Why was Christie so anxious to talk about anything and seemingly everything? I think it's because he's actually going to miss the press. He'll be on vacation for two weeks. The first week, the Governor and his entire family will be at Island Beach State Park. The following week, he's hopping in a car with his 16-year-old son and 9-year-old son and he's going to different baseball parks around the country. 6 games, 6 different stadiums.
"This will either make me the father of the year or completely insane," said Christie, "Becuase I'm going to be in a car for six days with my teenaged son and my 9-year-old."
Christie thanked the press corps for its coverage of his term thus far and said he's going to re-charge his batteries and says, "God knows what's going to happen when I get back"
