NJ GOV-ELECT CHRISTIE TO PRESS CORPS: DON'T INTERRUPT MY RANTS!

New Jersey Governor-elect Chris Christie said today (1/13/10) he's happy that legislative voting sessions in the lame duck are over. He got on a roll by saying, "Now we can all take a deep breath and get back to the normal pace of government rather than the frenetic stuff that was going on." Both the State Senate and the General Assembly voted on over 100 bill this past Monday alone.

Christie continued with this thought stream by saying, "It was like one of those shows where you give somebody two minutes to go through a supermarket and throw as much stuff into the basket as they can. That's what it feels like during that time."

NJN senior State House correspondent Michael Aron began to ask Christie a follow-up question, but before he could finish, the Governor-elect said, "I wasn't quite done with that! You're going to learn over time that I might say something really outrageous after that and you're going to want to let me go and give me a little more line, but now the moment's gone so, go ahead."

Aron told Christie, "We'll learn the rhythm of your rants with time." Christie responded, "Beautiful!"

If Christie has proven anything thus far it is that he can conduct an entertaining press conference. I've gotta give him that.

having had experience with Ms Oliver and her staff ,,it is quite evident that she is there as a 'figurehead' and a pawn to be used in the political game. Mr Cryan runs the show and I wouldn't be surprised if he was in those 'private'offices when she left the meeting, unfinished, incomplete without direction and obviously without a clue of what her job was there. This is just a glimpse of the future with Ms Olivera as one of the top figures of our government. I hope Governor Christie takes note and follows the 'little mishaps' that happen during her watch.
